Redken Haircare Specialist
Sheryl Archer was born in Arlington, Texas, and graduated
from Sam Houston High School. She attended Aladdin Beauty
College and in 1977, graduated first in her class after passing
the cosmetology test with a perfect score. Sheryl’s Father,
brother, uncle, and two cousins all practiced barbering in
Arlington for many years.
Sheryl’s first job was handing out numbers, sweeping the floor,
and at the time, was Arlington’s only shoeshine girl. She trained
under her father, Howard Landrith, and Jim Markham in cutting
and styling men’s hair. To further her experience in barbering,
Sheryl traveled to California to study under Sam Orr in caring
for, perming, and relaxing ethnic hair.
Sheryl performed on stage at hair shows demonstrating the
latest cutting and styling techniques. She owned and operated
Sheryl’s Hair Designs for twenty years. Sheryl is a certified
Redken hair specialist. She regularly travels to New York
to the Redken exchange to learn the most current products,
coloring, cutting and styling techniques.
While Sheryl is an expert in Coloring, Highlighting and Perming,
she also enjoys Cutting and Styling Hair for Entire Families.
